Three Herald staff members and one contributor represented the Herald at the Keystone Media Awards Brunch on Oct. 12. The Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association (PNA) held the brunch and ceremony at the Sheraton Hershey Harrisburg Hotel. Contributor Denny Shoemaker (left) and Herald Circulation Manager Lugene Shelly (right) won an honorable mention for their photo essay "Ida Inundates the Cove." Editor Anna Baughman (right) and Publisher Allan Bassler (not shown) won three second-place awards for Editorials, Feature Page Design, and Sports Page Design.

Three Herald staff members and one contributor represented the Herald at the Keystone Media Awards Brunch on Oct. 12.

Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association (PNA) held the brunch and ceremony at the Sheraton Hershey Harrisburg Hotel.

Contributor Denny Shoemaker and Herald Circulation Manager Lugene Shelly won an honorable mention for their photo essay "Ida Inundates the Cove."

Editor Anna Baughman and Publisher Allan Bassler won three second-place awards for Editorials, Feature Page Design, and Sports Page Design.

Bassler also won an honorable mention in Ongoing News Coverage for "How the Pandemic Affected the Cove."

Other Herald award winners include:

• George Berkheimer, First Place in Enterprise Reporting for his series, "How the Cove is Changing"

• Rick Boston, Second Place in breaking news for his story, "One Dead in Woodbury Fire"; Honorable Mention in News Feature Story for his story, "The Cove's First Pride March"

• Gary Baranec, Honorable Mention in News Event Photo for his photo "It was like being sucker-punched."
