Shirley Idella Burket, 90, of Martinsburg, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday morning, Oct. 11, 2022, at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center, Roaring Spring.

She was born Sept. 27, 1932, in rural Williamsburg, daughter of the late Emory H. and Alice A. (Bechtel) Frye. On March 31, 1956 she married E. Rodney Burket at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Williamsburg. He preceded her in death on May 26, 2019 after 62 years of marriage.

She is survived by a son, Stephen R. Burket (Pamela M.) of Ashburn, VA; two grandchildren: Joshua S. Burket and Hannah Mae Burket; and numerous nieces and nephews....
