A Promise Fulfilled

Luke 2:21-40

I love reading about people in the Bible. I love meeting new people and hearing their stories. We all have rich stories to tell even though we don’t always recognize the worth of those stories.

Today our scripture introduces us to two unique individuals. I picture that if we could meet them, we might feel as though we were being given a special gift. They are like the present that gets wedged behind the tree at Christmas time and is almost forgotten, but once it is pulled out and opened you are filled with a new sense of joy.
