On Nov. 5, the NAfME (National Association for Music Education) will be holding its 2022 All-National Music Ensembles Mixed Choir at the Gaylord Convention Center in Washington, D.C. Connor Hummel, a senior at Central High School, has been selected as one of 30 high school Tenors I in the country to join this ensemble.

Hummel, son of Jacque and Robert Hummel of Roaring Spring, has been recognized for his singing over the last two years. Through 2020 to 2022, he qualified for district, regional, and state choirs.
