Martinsburg Mennonite Travels to Cumberland Valley Relief Center

Martinsburg Mennonite Church recently traveled to Cumberland Valley Relief Center. Arlene Delp made over 11,000 cloth bags for school kits, filled by the Martinsburg Mennonite Church congregation, for the relief center.

On Oct. 20, 14 members and friends of Martinsburg Mennonite Church traveled to Chambersburg to Cumberland Valley Relief Center.

The center, sponsored by the Peace Churches of Cumberland Valley, works with the Mennonite Central Committee to provide hunger relief and material aid in the name of Christ. Volunteers weave rugs, quilt, sew patches for comforters, cube tallow for soap, wrap bars of soap, do meat canning, make newborn kits, make sewing kits, health kits, and many other services.
