Richard E. Baker

Richard E. Baker, 85, of New Enterprise, passed away Oct. 28, 2022, at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center, Roaring Spring.

He was born Sept. 27, 1937, in New Enterprise; son of the late Gerald and Ada (Stiffler) Baker. On Aug. 10, 1960, in Winchester Virginia, he was united in marriage to Beth (Fluke) Baker; spending 62 years together.

He is survived by his wife, Beth; son, Rick Baker and wife Sherri; son, Randy Baker and wife Cindy; grandchildren, Justin Baker, Jared Baker, Chase Baker, Paige Boone (Will), and Jordyn Soderholm; great-grandchildren, Emerie, Ella, and Henry; sister, Darlene Kagarise; and brother, Dale Baker.

Richard was preceded in death by his sisters, Carolyn and Janet.

Richard worked on the family farm and later began to drive truck for New Enterprise Stone & Lime Company. He retired after countless miles and 37 years of service. Richard attended the Woodbury Church of the Brethren. He enjoyed traveling in the camper, horse trail riding, 4-wheeler rides, and pontooning at the lake.

At request of the deceased, funeral services will be held privately. Interment will be in the New Enterprise Cemetery.
