Talks Underway

In a news release, Altoona Regional Health System and Nason Hospital said they were still in discussions aimed at developing an integrated, Blair county-wide health system. Altoona Regional also confirmed that it was in talks with UPMC, Geisinger, and Highmark.

Twenty-five concerned residents gathered at the Curryville Church of the Brethren for an informational meeting concerning postal cuts that would affect the Curryville Post Office and its customers. The post office planned to cut window hours under a nationwide restructuring plan to cut losses.

Aaron Kreider, 17, joined the Martinsburg Borough Council as a junior councilman. The high school senior was required to attend monthly borough council meetings, budget sessions and any “special” meetings.

Jeremy Mock of the Williamsburg FFA chapter was awarded the American FFA Degree at the 85th National FFA Convention and Expo in Minneapolis.
