Veterinarian James R. Harden opened Companion Animal Hospital in Roaring Spring on November 3. His practice would focus on small animals and offer electrosurgery and conventional surgery, as well as routine visits.

The Spring Cove Professional Building along Rt. 36 in Roaring Spring was enlarged to house Dr. Harden’s veterinary practice and an optometry office for Dr. Joan Bartolotta.
