Noise Ordinance Passed by Woodbury

Following several complaints of residents of Woodbury Township, supervisors passed a noise ordinance during last Thursday evening’s meeting.

“It’s not really strict,” Chairman Joe Lansberry said “A lot of it is respect for the neighborhood.”

Larry Mock attended to confront supervisors about ordinance.

“I think you’re opening a can of worms,” Mock said.

A lot of the complaints from residents stemmed from animal safety with horses and dogs. Holidays such as the Fourth of July are exempt from the noise ordinance, and it only covers noises from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Township Secretary Kelsie Lego presented the proposed budget for 2023. With calculations, Lego said she didn’t feel a need to increase millage. The motion to advertise the budget passed.

The township also requested bids for winter maintenance, if needed. Only one bid was sent in – Prough’s Masonry at $110/hour. Clark abstained from the vote. The motion to accept the bid passed.

Hamilton also made a motion to advertise the following meeting dates for 2023:

• Reorganizational Meeting: Tuesday, Jan. 3, at 5:30 p.m.

• Auditor’s Meeting: Wednesday, Jan. 4, at 6 p.m.
