Roaring Spring Lions Club offered a free veteran's meal on Nov. 2. About 40 vets and their guests were in attendance.

Phil Waite, local veteran, pastor and teacher at Central High School, was the speaker. He spoke about history and veterans and read several cards that his students made thanking veterans for their service.

Girl Scout Troop 43009 handed out thank-you cards and helped the club serve the meal.

Horseshoe cloggers attended to perform a 30-min patriotic ensemble.
