Rev. Ordained as Pastor Emeritus

The Rev. Harry Brubaker of Roaring Spring RD1, serving in the ministry for 38 years, was ordained as pastor emeritus on Nov. 30 at the First Church of the Brethren. The title is bestowed on a retired minister who has given many years of dedicated service to the ministry.

Nason Hospital completed traffic safety improvements at the end of Nason Drive in anticipation of a traffic signal being installed there in the coming months. The hospital removed the marquee sign at the end of the drive, and instead a highway sign reading “Nason Drive” would be installed over the signal light.

November precipitation in the Cove was 10.98 inches, making it the second rainiest month on record. The record rainfall for one month was set in June of 1972 when Agnes dumped 14.34 inches during the month. Most of the Novembe’s rains fell the weekend of November 7-9, but overall there was some type of precipitation recorded during 21 of the 30 days.
