Plan Crashed in Taylor Township

Four people were hurt when a single-engine airplane crashed six minutes after taking off from the Blair County Airport in Martinsburg. The privately owned aircraft came down in a Taylor Township field a short distance south of Feathers’ Crossroads after bouncing across the highway.The pilot, who was not injured, said the engine stopped after take off.
A fire at the Kenneth G. Beach farm in New Enterprise destroyed the upper story of a barn, 9,000 bales of hay and hundreds of bushels of grain.
