The Roaring Spring A&P Food Store held its Grand Opening at the recently enlarged store on Main St. The manager of the store was Walter Kennedy. Department heads were Ernest R. Frye, produce; Royer L. Miller, coffee-dairy; and Mrs. Mary E. Gates, head cashier.

Blair Street residents in Martinsburg were once again illustrating the “Twelve Days of Christmas” with street side displays. The displays were scheduled to be lighted from 5:30 to 11 p.m. each day during the Christmas season. This is the fourth year for the display.
