Ask the Williamsburgers
December 1, 2022
This time of year, we often think of Christmas songs playing in the background. Whether we are at church or out shopping, Christmas songs are always ready to put you in the holiday spirit.
This inspired my question this week: what is your favorite Christmas song/carol? Here is what a few residents had to say:
Kim Lester: “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” by Judy Garland
Charlie Webb, Sr.: “Little Drummer Boy”
Bonnie Good: “Silver Bells”
Amy Holencik: “The Coventry Carol”
Marianne Nicholas: “Silent Night”
Diana Barroner: “The First Noel” and “Mary Did You Know”
Anna Gibboney: “We Three Kings” – very fond memories of my Grandpap, Bob Miller and Don Kagarise singing this at Christmas Eve as part of our Nativity.
Judith Edwards: “Go Tell It On the Mountain”
Jon McClintock: “Oh Holy Night”
Sylvia Kelley: “Joy to the World”
Amber Myers: “Do You Hear What I Hear” by Bing Crosby
Nothing gets me in the mood for Christmas than my most favorite Christmas song of all time: “Feliz Navidad.” For some reason, it always remains my favorite.
