John the Baptist or John, the Baptizer, is a colorful character in our scripture. He’s a rough but utterly sincere character with everything he owns on his back. He’s as wild as the wilderness that he has chosen for his pulpit, preaching to everyone who will listen. We definitely hear in his answers that he knows he is not the key.
