Borough Delaying an Increase

The Williamsburg Borough agreed to delay an increase in water rates until Feb. 1 at the request of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission. The PUC must approve the rate changes for customers, and the commissioners have not yet done so. They will meet in January, and they expected to approve the rates.

Students at the Spring Cove Middle School held a “Christmas in the Tropics” holiday party. Five tons of sand were dumped on a hallway in the school, and students and teachers worked together to create a tropical beach feel. Approximately 1,000 people attended.
