Fire destroyed a home along Back Street in East Freedom on Friday evening, Dec. 2. Multiple crews responded and had the fire under control within 15 minutes.
A fire at a Freedom Township home on Friday evening, Dec. 2, displaced a family just weeks before Christmas.
Fire crews were called to 261 Back Street in East Freedom at around 10 p.m. and arrived to find the double-wide fully involved. Freedom Township Fire Chief Ron Henry said crews had the fire under control within 15 minutes but stayed on the scene for about two hours to make sure all the hot spots were out.
Henry said no one was home when the fire broke out and no injuries were reported. Roaring Spring, Duncansville, Blue Knob, and Claysburg fire companies assisted Freedom at the scene...
