A fire at a Freedom Township home on Friday evening, Dec. 2, displaced a family just weeks before Christmas.
Fire crews were called to 261 Back Street in East Freedom at around 10 p.m. and arrived to find the double-wide fully involved. Freedom Township Fire Chief Ron Henry said crews had the fire under control within 15 minutes but stayed on the scene for about two hours to make sure all the hot spots were out.
