The Martinsburg Borough Police Department and Blair County’s seven other police departments are looking for a new company to keep police records.

According to Martinsburg Police Chief Kerry Hoover, the department’s current Record Management System (RMS) is being phased out and will cease to update and provide support for maintaining police records.

Hoover said the police department has been using Visual Alert, an RMS created by Metro Technologies for about 20 years, but when Metro sold out to Central Square, the new owners notified users that it will begin phasing out Visual Alert.
