Due to a successful football season, the Central Scarlet Dragon Basketball team had just under a week of full practices with the whole team. This didn't stop them, however, from seizing victory in their home opener of the season against the Huntingdon Bearcats. The Dragons' overall physicality and persistence led to their 64-29 victory over the Bearcats.

With the limited practice time, the Dragon offense was stifled for the match. Defense quickly became the key factor in the Dragon victory. The Dragons held the Bearcats to five and eight points in the first and second quarters respectively...
