The Martinsburg Firemen started a fundraising campaign for a new truck and firefighting apparatus. The truck, costing $10,000, is due to be delivered February 1. It will have a 600-gallon tank, an auxiliary lighting system, a portable pump and an enclosed cab.

Mr. and Mrs. Levi Lininger of Beavertown celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary Dec. 29. Mr. Lininger and his wife, the former Mary Agnes Fouse, were natives of Marklesburg. Mrs. Lininger’s father and his six brothers were soldiers in the Civil War, her father dying en route home after his discharge....
