Betty J. “Bets” Brenneman, 93, of Canoe Creek, rural Hollidaysburg, went home to be with her Lord, Thursday evening, Dec. 22, 2022, at Penn Highlands Hospital, Tyrone.

She was born Jan. 3, 1929, at her home in Canoe Creek, daughter of the late Glenn H. and Anna Belle (Shinafelt) Mattern. On Nov. 22, 1947, she married Charles M. “Chick” Brenneman at the Canoe Creek United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her beloved husband, “Chickie” of 75 years; three children: Charles A. “Butch” Brenneman (Marie) of Hollidaysburg, Beth E. O’Dowd (Daniel) of Houston, Texas; and Daniel...
