Scripture text Psalm 146: 5-10

This season that we just passed through has some wonderful moments no matter how many times we experience it. This psalm that we look at today is the song of a person flinging open the door, welcoming the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings. There were no words about having made great preparations; it is all about the one who is arriving. That is what the Christmas season always seems like to me: Leaving behind our personal concerns to focus on being welcoming and grateful for the One who is arriving.
