Fire Destroys Everything

A fire in Altoona destroyed the Goldstein business block at 1313 Eleventh Avenue. In addition to the loss of the Goldstein building and all the clothing and merchandise inside, the Bon Ton store was gutted and all merchandise ruined.

Roy Bassler moved with his family from Marble City to Brumbaugh where he was appointed as one of the guards at the Brumbaugh distillery.

A taffy party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Kagarise of Texas Corner on Friday evening. Many young folks of the community attended.
