Mrs. Mary Benson, an esteemed old lady, died at her residence, South Market street, on Wednesday evening, aged 72 years. Her death was caused by paralysis. Funeral in the Lutheran church, Saturday at 10 a.m. Services to be conducted by Revs. Sample and Lloyd. Interment in Fairview cemetery.

At a joint council of the Reformed church, constituting East Sharpsburg, Hickory Bottom and Mt. Pleasant congregations, held at the latter place on Saturday last, a call was extended to Rev. Beck, of Wooster, Ohio, to become their pastor.
