Shooting Accident Happens

Thursday afternoon of last week Oliver Butler of Rodman Furnace was the victim of a shooting accident. He, with a number of others, were having a shooting match at Plane 10. Butler was lying on the ground, taking aim for a shot, when suddenly the report of a gun was heard and the prostrate man rolled over on his side with a moan. The shot came from the rifle of Alexander Wilt who was standing behind Butler putting a cap on his gun. The hammer slipped while he was lowering it, and the gun exploded.
