Northern Bedford FBLA Students Teach Steps for Success

Northern Bedford County senior Jacob Sensenig and junior Reaghan Grimes are the co-chairs for the FBLA American Enterprise Project titled "Steps for Success." This project aims to build awareness for the American Enterprise System and its five pillars: right to private enterprise, competition, right to private property, profit, and freedom of choice.

For the project, co-chairs hosted a Career Dress Up Day for NBC Elementary students. Fellow FBLA members taught career education lessons to fifth grade students. Students took surveys and discussed careers of interest.

Sensenig worked in coordination with the After 3 program to teach middle and high school students mini workshops titled "Handshakes and Hellos," "How to Tie a Tie," and "Careers for Me."

Community members may have heard of the project on Cessna Communications radio stations as Sensenig recorded an advertisement in November urging the community to shop local during the holiday season.
