Family Traveling to Arlington

Roy Karns and his wife Debbie, along with other family members, were planning to travel to Arlington Cemetery for the burial of Harry Furman, Roy’s uncle. Furman was listed as missing at 20 years old after his plane crashed in Brazil in 1944 during World War II. The crash site was part of a recovery operation in 1995, and his death was confirmed.

A reexamination of the Blair County Airport Authority showed that the proposed budget deficit was actually $17,000 instead of $70,000. A committee was being formed to study the possibility of privatizing the Blair County...
