Women on the Bench in Pennsylvania

In recognition of National Women's History Month, the Pennsylvania Courts released an infographic looking at the history of women in the Pennsylvania judiciary, as well as those women currently serving.

Presently, 32 percent of Pennsylvania's active judges are women. On the state's appellate courts, three of the current six justices on the Supreme Court are women, and a majority of judges serving on both the Superior Court (71 percent) and Commonwealth Court (88 percent) are women.
