HACP Window Easter Egg Hunt Ongoing

The marketing committee of the Hollidaysburg Area Community Partnership (HACP) has been active in a number of events in March. The Leprechaun Scavenger Hunt ran March 1 through March 19. Promotions for the hunt were done on the Facebook page. The two winners received a gift card from the business of their choice.

For the window Easter egg hunt, Marketing Director Alyssa Barilar will solicit businesses to participate. Participants will find the eggs in windows of businesses and be eligible to win a prize. Winners will be drawn randomly from the completed sheets. The contest will run from March 22 to April 9. HACP will award two baskets to two random winners. All current HACP members have been added to the website, Facebook, and the email distribution list.

Patterson Marketing will create the partnership advertisements to be used on placemats. Board member Becki Hollen will format the ad and send it to Patterson Marketing. A full-page advertisement for the HACP will need to be created for the Hollidaysburg magazine. Pam Jones, Hollen, and Jodie Hollen will work on the information for that page.

The HACP member mixer took place on March 16 at G3 Physical Therapy. The board approved $250 for all member mixers held.

The Hello Social Workshop will be April 26 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Hollidaysburg Area Public Library. The workshop is free for HACP members (one member per organization/business) and $99 per person for non-members. The board approved the budget request of up to $3,500 for the Hello Social Workshop. The member newsletter was approved. The HACP currently has 32 active members. The membership packet will include: welcome letter, window cling, contact list, members benefit list, events list, committee interest form, business map, mission statement, HACP brochure, and HACP business cards. New members will also receive a welcome email.

The HACP wants to become involved in the upcoming downtown Hollidaysburg events. They would like to set up a table and have kid crafts. Kerri Kinzle will be retiring from Family Fun Day at the Canal Basin Park and Partnership President Dr. Bob Gildea will talk to Hollidaysburg Borough Manager Jim Gehret to see if the borough is interested in taking over the event.

A board position was filled and Gildea introduced new board member Corey Gildea.

Last month had an influx of memberships boosting the HACP balance to $32,848.

Board meeting dates were set for April 12, May 10, June 14, July 12, Aug. 9, Sept. 13, Oct. 11, Nov. 8 and Dec. 13. All meetings are held at 8 a.m. in the Community Room at the Hollidaysburg Area Public Library.
