Clarification

The article in the March 30, 2023, Herald previewing the race for Blair County Commissioner stated that incumbent Democrat Laura Burke is facing a challenge from Carol Taylor for one seat while four Republicans are vying for two seats.

While historically Blair County has elected two Republicans and one Democrat to the Board of Commissioners, officially it is stipulated that more than one party be represented on the board. All three seats are open to each candidate and either party could claim two seats.
