Parsonage Destroyed by Fire

The Methodist Episcopal parsonage at Schellsburg, Bedford county, was destroyed by fire Saturday night. The family of Rev. W. R. Whitney made a narrow escape from suffocation by smoke.

Mr. L. A. Wilkinson has received a considerable quantity of sugar beet seed which he intends to plant on his farm down Piney Creek so as to see whether the soil and climate of Morrisons Cove are adapted to the growth of this important product of agriculture.
