David Lynn “Dave” Metzger, 73, of Emmitsburg, MD, formerly of Roaring Spring, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2023, at WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital, following a brief battle with cancer.

He was born Aug. 8, 1949, in Roaring Spring, son of the late Samuel E. and Lois (Sponsler) Metzger.

He is survived by a son, Trevor D. Metzger (Rachael); and a grandson, Henry Wilson Metzger of Virginia Beach, VA; a sister, Nancy L. Baker (Gary) of rural Martinsburg; a brother, Stephen C. Metzger (Marsha) of Roaring Spring; his fiancée, Angela M. “Angie” Armolt. Dave will also be missed by his nieces...
