Post Office Waves Flags

“Old Glory” and the Cuban star and bars now wave over the post office door.

Altoona and Hollidaysburg members of the Blair county bar have agreed not to open their offices for business after 6 p.m.

For the benefit of persons desiring to attend the Annual Meeting of the German Baptists (Dunkards) at Naperville, Ill., the Pennsylvania Railroad Company will sell excursion tickets at the rate of a single fare for the round trip to Chicago plus $1.85 to Naperville.

The annual ordeal of housecleaning has finally passed and we still survive. There has indeed been much kneeling done during the past few weeks. But it’s all over once more, and we are clean once again.

Royer P. Hartman, of Royer, is among the students in Prof. Kagarise’s Normal School.

The paper mill, it is said, broke the record in production last month.

Mrs. Jerre Miller and daughter Edith are visiting friends at Reeds Gap, Juniata county.
