Nason Implements Quiet Hours with Sound Machines

Shown is Nason Auxiliary President, Judy Reffner (left) presenting a sound machine to Karie Claycomb (right) Medical Surgical Unit Nurse Manager.

Nason has implemented quiet hours between the hours of 1-3 p.m. and from 8 p.m. until the morning. This is an initiative to improve quietness so patients may rest and heal. The Auxiliary donated six sound machines to help patients rest and suppress extraneous noise. The machines have white noise, sounds of the ocean waves, thunder, rain showers, babbling brook, and a warm summer night. This will help decrease anxiety and allow patients to rest....
