Kathy A. Getz, 70, of Martinsburg, went to be with her mother on Mother’s Day, May 14, 2023. She passed away surrounded by love after a long battle with cancer. She fought incredibly hard and deserves the peace she now has with all of the loved ones gone before her.

She was born Jan. 8, 1953, in Roaring Spring, a daughter of the late Samuel Johnson and Melda (Ayers) Johnson. Kathy grew up on her parent’s farm in Martinsburg.

She is survived by her loving husband Denny of fifty-one years; two beautiful daughters, Karrie Miller (John) and Amber Brumbaugh (Matt); four loving grandchild...
