Campout Held at the Park

John Wareham of Martinsburg estimated 414 camping units were on hand for the fourth annual Westward Ho Campout of the National Campers and Hikers Association held at Memorial Park in Martinsburg over Memorial Day weekend.
Roaring Spring Enterprises purchased the apple packing plant owned by the Cove Apple Packers Cooperative. The Co-op had fallen into financial difficulties, and in March its members voted to sell the plant and dissolve the co-op.
