Horton Has Hit Polka

 


Herald of June 3, 1948

Vaughn Horton, a native of Robertsdale, has a polka called “Toolie Oolie, Doolie” at number 4 on the Hit Parade. He used to play for dances at the Memorial Park in Martinsburg and at square dances in East Freedom. He and his brother Roy maintain offices at 1619 Broadway, New York City. He is married to the former Sue Mellott of Everett, and his brother Olin is editor of the Broad Top Bulletin. His father, S. George Horton, lives in Wood on the Broadtop.
