N. Main Street Project Started

Excavating Associates, Inc. announced the start of a roadway improvements project to rebuild part of North Main Street, which began Monday, May 22, 2023, in Roaring Spring.

Traffic will now follow a 1.6-mile detour using Route 36 (Main Street), East Main Street and Spang Street for the contractor to begin removal of the existing roadway and slope excavation for roadway realignment. A new bituminous roadway will be constructed, along with drainage and guiderail improvements.

Motorists are advised to use caution and should allow extra time to travel the detour.

This $642,584 project is expected to be completed by mid-August 2023.
