Cemetery Gets Cleaned Up

In the afternoon on May 30th, H. C. Dick and daughters Sarah and Arlene, S. H. Slick, daughter Mattie and granddaughter Thelma Slick, met at the Lower cemetery and cut and gathered and burned brush until night, which made the place look as though someone still lived who has not forgotten that indirectly they received land and money that some of the people who rest there left of their savings to those who are yet living to enjoy.

Frederick F. Himes of Roaring Spring died suddenly on Tuesday evening. He had been in poor health for some time, but spent the day at his job...
