Money Raised for Renovations

Herald of June 13, 2013

The goal of $50,000 for renovations and upgrades to Panther Paradise in the Northern Bedford School District was surpassed with $58,850 being raised through the efforts of area families, businesses and elementary school students. Roger and Natalie Pepple, who spearheaded the original effort 25 years earlier, were coordinating the renovations again.

The Spring Cove School District graduated 145, while 37 students received diplomas at Williamsburg High School. Rebekah Stern was valedictorian at Spring Cove and Nicole Lynn was valedictorian at Williamsburg.

The Krush traveling softball team won the June Bash Tournament in Chambersburg. The girls finished the tournament with a perfect 5-0 record.

Penn State Public Media was looking for volunteers to participate in the “Our Town Williamsburg” project. The one hour “video scrapbook” will capture life in Williamsburg through the eyes of residents. Organizers were planning a meeting for anyone interested in participating.
