Woodbury Looks to Unveil New Ordinances

Woodbury Township Solicitor Aimee Willett and Stiffler McGraw Engineer Jim Young have noticed an increase in land development in the township, and both stressed to township supervisors that it is imperative to have an ordinance that streamlines land development, erosion and sediment control and stormwater management. Over the last year, both Willett and Young have been working on new ordinances streamlining the process for all three, which will make it much easier for landowners in the township to complete a project.

Willett announced at last Thursday evening’s meeting that the erosion and sediment control ordinance and the stormwater management ordinance will be ready for the July meeting. The SALDO (Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance) will be ready for the August meeting. The delay for the SALDO is a conference call between Young, Willett and the county. Ed Clark made a motion to advertise drafts of all three ordinances, which passed.

An update to Cove Forge was given. The foundation for their sewer plant has been installed. Financial security for another Cove Forge project is set to expire in August. Supervisors said more discussion on the financial security would be held at the July meeting.

Sgt. Tommy Snyder of the Pennsylvania State Police attended to make his routine township meetings. Snyder presented some data on the township to supervisors.

“You just don’t have a lot of calls down here,” Snyder said.

Typically, the calls are for crashes and DUIs.
