Merle L. Bange

Martinsburg

Merle Lamar Bange, 39, of Martinsburg, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2023, while working on their family’s farm.

He was born December 20, 1983, in Lancaster, son of Mark A. and Mary J. (Shertzer) Bange.

He is survived by his parents of rural New Enterprise; his girlfriend, Lindsey E. McCreary of Martinsburg; a sister Marie E. Bange; a brother M. Laverne Bange (wife, Allison); a sister, Marla J. (Bange) Zeiset (husband, Lindon); two nephews: Emmett Bange and Julian Zeiset; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Merle was a kind-hearted, caring, compassionate man reaching out to his friends and family in every capacity. He enjoyed horseback riding, raising longhorn cattle, farming with his father, spending time with family, and coffee. He worked as a contractor for I.B. Roofing as well as farming.

A funeral took place Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Woodbury Mennonite Church. The family is being assisted by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg, (www.bolgerfuneralhome.com).
