Hollidaysburg Borough Council Approves $2 Million for Presbyterian Home

During the July Borough Council meeting, Police Chief Christopher Storm stated there were two candidates for the opening of a ninth police officer in the borough, but neither candidate fit the bill for the position which has been vacant since October 2021. The search for the officer began in May. The borough had two applications for the job, but one candidate did not have his Act 120 certification which is a requirement for all Pa. municipal police officers and the other was an out of state university policeman.
