Homewood Receives OVR 'Worksite of The Summer' Award

Each summer, Pennsylvania's Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR), provides work opportunities and training for students with disabilities across the state through its "My Work" Program. The program began in Allegheny County in 2016 and has since expanded to include numerous work sites for more than 700 students in 43 counties. Homewood at Martinsburg came on board as a worksite last year, and this year was awarded the Altoona OVR Office's "Worksite/Employer of the Summer" Award for its work with six 11th and 12th grade students from the Spring Cove School District.
