'The Liar's Wife' By Kiersten Modglin

Palmer Lewis had just given birth to her son, Gray. She and Ben were so happy. Palmer’s job was creating special events. Since Palmer had the better paying job, Ben was going to stay home with Gray. Palmer was going back to work after just two weeks. It was so hard to leave little Gray but she knew Ben would be a good father to him. Palmer had trust issues. Ben understood that and supported her. Palmer’s ex had cheated on her and she was not about to allow that to happen again.

It was when Palmer went back to work that she began to catch him in lies. Palmer began to follow Ben. Who was the woman he was seeing at a local restaurant? Why was he allowing her to hold her baby? Palmer went into investigative mode. She followed them to a house were Ben seemed very much at home with the woman. Then one day, Palmer came home from work and Ben was gone with Gray. All the milk she had pumped was gone from the refrigerator. Had he left her? Did she not love him enough? Why did men find it easy to lie to her? Was it her fault? It didn’t matter. She had to find Gray. Gray was her son and she would get him back.

While Palmer still felt the pain of her cesarean incision, she would fight for her son. How well did she know Ben after all? They were married six months and she had never met his parents. All she knew was their names. She didn’t even know the state where they lived. Ben didn’t have any close friends that she knew of. All she knew were the first names of a few of the people he worked with before quitting his job. With the help of the local police and her friends Ty and Dannika, Palmer sought to find her son.

I found Kiersten Modglin to be an excellent writer. She writes psychological fiction and has become known as the “Queen of Twists.” She weaves a story and keeps you spell bound.
