Claysburg Area Farm Show Begins Sept. 5

Some may have noticed the premium books at local businesses in the Claysburg area. Yes, it’s that time of year. Once again, the Claysburg Farm Show will hold the apple pie, angel food cake, chocolate cake, and junior cookies, brownies or bars contests. The rules of the contests are in the back of the premium book.

The Department of Agriculture has canceled any egg entries this year. Also, feathers are not permitted in any craft item. This is due to disease that is widespread this year.

Premium books are available at the Claysburg Library, post office and other local businesses. Bring items to exhibit between 2 and 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 5. They can be picked up after 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9.
