Church Meeting to Be Held

The East Pennsylvania eldership of the Church of God will meet in Saxton on the first Wednesday evening in October. During the session a vote will be taken on the question of changing the mode of calling pastors; on the number of years a pastor may serve on a charge, and other propositions for a radical change in the system the church has in conducting its affairs.

Miss Emma Liebegott has gone to Yellow Springs where she will teach school during the ensuing term. Miss Liebegott is an efficient young school mistress, and her friends wish her a pleasant and successful term.

Henrietta can boast of one of the oldest if not the oldest blacksmith in the county in the person of Christ M. Snyder, who has worked over the anvil for almost 60 years.

Mr. Henry A. Dilling, formerly of Curryville, but now living in Johannesburg South Africa, is working in the gold mines and says he will return in 1900, stopping at the Paris Exposition en route.
