Lockdown Held for Youth

Memorial Park was holding a lockdown for youth over the weekend. The event was open to students from Spring Cove, Northern Bedford, Williamsburg, Claysburg-Kimmel and Tussey Mountain school districts. Activities, including bowling and volleyball, were planned for 11 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Saturday. Students were required to have a permission slip signed by a parent to participate.

The Spring Cove School Board held a special meeting to formally hire Mrs. Lorraine Stephens as choral director at Central High School and as general music instructor to the Roaring Spring...
