Veteran Killed by Train

David M. Mills, 77, a veteran of both the Mexican and Civil Wars, was killed at Rodman station below Roaring Spring on Friday when he was run down by a train as he was walking along the track. He was given a military funeral by the members of the Grand Army of the Republic.

Eddie, the 8-year-old son of Levi Kensinger of Henrietta sustained a fracture of the right leg above the knee on Saturday when the wheel of a threshing machine passed over it. The lad was riding the machine and was shaken off.
